Pleat styles and design options for drapery panels. Also showing a variety of rod styles and finishes from which to choose.
Elegance
What a fun dining room. Lucite rod and rings with brushed brass. Panels with trim on lead edges.
Reverse pleats grace this dining room. Amazing wallpaper on the ceiling.
This modern office features embroidery panels with top tacks and wrought iron hardware with elbow returns.
We wanted to create a panel that looked like a ripple-fold panel but could operate on a rod with rings. (Ripple-fold panels operate on a track with glides.) So we created this "reverse" pleated panel with hidden pleats to hold a drapery pin for rod and rings. Extra thought has gone into this style by adding a mesh layer in the back of the pleat that keeps the panel from going flat when closed. The result is elegant and relaxed. The hardware shown is the Barbara Barry Collection in Empress Gold finish. A stunning rod.
This is an arched window on the left...but not on the right. The right is an arched mirror. This trick allows for very lopsided windows to be treated the same. In this case velvet panels mounted on medallions show off the grandeur of the room.
A peaceful room
A striking dining room with 6" long goblet pleats on these silk taffeta panels. The acrylic rod with chrome brackets and rings are a show stopper. The unique finials add a modern feel.
Traditional pinch pleated panels with lead edge trim.
This luxurious panel is mounted on medallions and medallion hold backs. The leading edge trim adds beauty to this window.
What to do when a rod is needed on a metal window in a high rise? Go for the ceiling mounted rod. In this case, brushed nickel rod and grommeted sheers added to the clean office look for the client.
Blackout cordless roller shades behind shade allows for privacy without moving the perfect shade.
When you have a room that needs panels on a feature window but you don't want panels on all the windows, you can mix styles by adding a soft shade to smaller windows or higher windows or side windows, as in this case. This shade is mounted on the face of the window under the window crown. It allows the top of the shade to be the same height as the panel finished length. The hemline of the shade and the lead edge of the panels have a geometric trim banding which also tie the two styles together.
A sunroom with inside mounted soft shades. These are full enough to look like they function but are stationary. This allows for softness in the room and a finished look without all the strings that functioning shades would have. Stationary shades are a great way to add color and style where privacy is not needed while saving on expense.
These roman shades have a roll-ease system which allows a continuous bead chain for opening and closing. Being inside mount, the chain mechanism is hidden. Outside mount roll-ease systems should have a valance or a shade with returns like a soft shade. These hard roman shades have white trim on the hem for detail.
Elegant sitting room
These shades are over cafe' shutters.
These romans needed to cover existing shutters. A nice return covers the roman’s hardware and finishes the “look”.
What to do with an arched window where a spot of color is needed. We can make a shade (either a hard roman (see below) or a soft shade) with an arched top to mount inside or outside the window. These shades can be functioning or like in this case, stationary. A window seat cushion and pillows make this a cozy place to enjoy the afternoon.
This faux soft shade has one swoop on a double window. It allows the larger, assymetrical print to be fully appreciated. The shutters on the lower half of the window allow privacy when needed.
This new design element comes in variety of styles and colors. Custom made to fit your needs. From cornice insets, window openings, doggie gates and room dividers, the possibilities are endless.
This client wanted to prevent her cat from entering the dining room through pass through windows.

These are awaiting knobs :)
This shutter has a four sided frame since the mount space was not deep enough for hanging strips. It has invisible split tilt allowing light and privacy at the same time. Larger louvers allow more light.
Black Samuel and Sons trim on hem set this valance off.
This contemprorary seating finishes off this new kitchen.
